The contribution we make to safety and the aviation community is valuable to us at Airways. We use sponsorships to support the future of aviation, to back our people, and to grow our community.

First Foundation scholarship
First Foundation funds young people with limited financial resources to attend university for four years. The Airways First Foundation scholarship is for students intending to study in Christchurch, towards a career in engineering, and who have attended a low decile secondary school.
Futureintech works to increase the number of young New Zealanders choosing careers in technology, engineering, and science.
Airways is involved with Futureintech through the promotion of electronics careers by providing mentors who work on electronics projects with 11 and 12 year olds. We look forward to welcoming some of the students involved as our future technicians and engineers.
Scholarships are awarded each year to one or two children of Airways’ employees, to attend the Walsh Flying School in Matamata. This scholarship was created in memory of Glenn C Ashton, an Oceanic Controller.
We support our Airways teams in many of their pursuits. Airways people are a diverse group – we help them out with dragon boating, rugby, indoor soccer, and golf. And the staff children’s Christmas party is stacks of fun.
