Candidates who successfully complete the testing will be invited to an assessment centre in Christchurch.

New Zealand travel and accommodation costs are covered by Airways.

Acceptance

Following the conclusion of reference checking, successful candidates will be offered a place on an available training course subject to a criminal background, drug testing and medical requirements outlined below.

Medical requirements

The Civil Aviation Authority regulates civil aviation in New Zealand. As air traffic controllers, we follow CAA rules.

Obtaining and maintaining a Class Three medical certificate is one of your main responsibilities in gaining and keeping your air traffic control license.

The following pages cover what the medical involves.

Please review the CAA website in detail should you have any specific questions regarding what the medical involves.
