Hundreds of delegates have visited the Airways New Zealand stand at the ATC Global symposium in Beijing this week, many of them drawn by the opportunity to test-drive Airways’ world-renowned Total Control air traffic control (ATC) simulator.
Total Control, developed by Airways in partnership with New Zealand’s Animation Research Ltd, is used in aviation universities and training institutions around the world. The simulator is prized by students and tutors for its state of the art technology and high fidelity realism.
Jamie Macdonald, Airways’ General Manager, Global Services explained that a highly portable desktop version of the simulator was flown to the aviation exhibition.
“No other ATC training simulator brings this level of functionality and control to the trainer’s fingertips, and show delegates enjoyed experiencing this for themselves.”
“Our simulator represents Airways’ commitment to developing state-of-the-art, high quality products for our international markets, and it joined other Airways business divisions to demonstrate the diversity of our global business strategy,” he said.
Airways has recently partnered with GroupEAD to provide next-generation AIM and Airport Data Quality services across Asia Pacific. GroupEAD Asia Pacific also offers an advanced and integrated procedure design service, including services based on modern Performance Based Navigation technology.
Likewise, Airways has been a trusted training provider for organisations throughout the world for more than 50 years, currently providing a range of air traffic service courses to partners in Dubai, Puerto Rico and China.
