Christchurch Airport terminal and tower have gone pink for October to support breast cancer awareness month.
Visitors to the airport will see Christchurch Airport’s terminal and Airway’s air traffic control tower looking a lovely pair for the month.
Both buildings can change their exterior lighting colours and often support charities, such as “Going Blue” last month for prostate cancer awareness, yellow on Daffodil Day and red for Chinese New Year.
Christchurch Airport and Airways Corporation hope visitors to the airport will be tickled pink this month at the pretty effect, but take heed of the more serious message. Women are encouraged to have regular checks for breast cancer and to encourage their friends and family to do the same.
